About Nathan

Nathan Everett

I am currently employed as Content Publishing Strategist for Microsoft’s Mobile Communications Business, and have worked in various stages of the publishing industry for over twenty years. In 1984 I established a trade journal publishing house in Minneapolis that was the first adopter of the new desktop publishing technology. I became a trainer and speaker on behalf of the new technology touring the country for over five years, with clients including 3M, Intel, Hallmark Cards, USAA, and Nordstrom.

I joined Design Intelligence in 1996 as Design Model Architect for a new page-layout software application which was subsequently purchased by Microsoft. At Microsoft I worked in specifying the next generation e-book software for Microsoft Reader. I have filed six patents on new reading and layout technologies through Design Intelligence and Microsoft. I designed a schoolbook reader before joining the Mobile Communications Product Group as strategist for User Assistance and technical content.

I have written ten novels, a book on publication design, and numerous training and technical manuals and articles.
