Discussion: NaNoWriMo is over! How did it go for you?

Showing oldest comments first. Display newest comments first.

Well, after a furious month of typing myself into oblivion, another NaNoWriMo has come and gone.

As seems to have become my pattern, I got to my 50,000 words for the month, but haven't finished the story yet. Another week or so ought to do it.

How did everyone else do? Win, lose, or draw? Are you happy with how your stories came out?

I, like you, managed the 50,000 words (barely), but I'm a week or two away from a complete story. I think it went well this year and, after some editing, I will have a decent book.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have no other way of reaching out to thank you both. This is Eric, author of "This Side of Normal". I have just finished reading all the comments and I cannot thank the both of you enough. It is uncanny how much you and the others agreed on specific areas for me to address. Trust me, I will. Your comments are thorough, intelligent and appreciated. You have made my job easier. Thank you.

Although I think Edevine has figured this out now, for the benefit of anyone else reading this, you can use the new messaging feature to send personal messages to other users. Go to the My Account area and click "Messages" in the menu bar.
