Discussion: International Writers

From what I've gathered, this is an American site, so I was wondering if there's anything particular that we non-Americans should know.

I mean, it's one thing to get published in your own country. It's quite another thing entirely to get published in someone elses (so I've heard).

We are happy to have writers from other countries. We wouldn't want to exclude the next Ian Flemming, Alister McClain, or... What's that British woman's name???? :-) Now if you're the next Joseph Conrad, we will ask you to do like him and write in English. My Polish is a bit rusty. The only other requirement is that your book appeal to the readers here. Those readers are from all over the world, so the books can be too.

The other thing you should know is that if we publish something of yours, all royalty payments and so forth will be in U.S. dollars. With the world economy being so frankly weird right now, that's probably neither good nor bad, just something you need to be aware of.
