Summary

Lucas Tiller, the hero of I'll Be a Stranger to You, is a young American trying to run a software business in Moscow. He first traveled to Russia as a Mormon missionary. He has returned, now, with half-repressed memories of that early mission—especially of his old missionary companion, blond, handsome Viktor.

As a devout Mormon, Lucas can’t accept the possibility he’s gay. He’s married now, to his high-school sweetheart, the beautiful, gifted, troubled Marianne. She’s waiting for him at home in Boston.

And Lucas will go back, sooner than he planned. But over the next few months, several unforeseen things are about to take place in his personal life: events that will shake the foundations of his faith and identity, with aftershocks that will be felt for a long time to come.
