Summary

Folksinger Sheil B. Wright (her stage name) is suspect in a series of murders at an old Scottish castle. A strange dagger, lost treasure and a portrait of Bonnie Prince Charlie tease her quest for the truth. Impeding the whodunit trail is a Celtic sorceress plus a visiting superintendent from Islam’s Moral Police Force Both quarrel with the local lawman, an expert on Scotland’s literature. A dunce at deduction but well versed in human frailty, Sheil bumbles through to find the answer to seven deaths, after coming terribly close to her own.

Writer’s Note

Dear Reader: I'm a Scots-Australian, keen on history and folksongs, and I write whodunits. This tale was a joy to write, and I only hope it brings some entertainment to the reader.
